CANCELLATION POLICY
GENERAL POLICY
It is imperative for clients to attend all scheduled sessions in a timely manner. Canceled or delayed appointments can create a ripple effect, causing delays to the therapist and negatively impacting other clients. In order to ensure the effectiveness of our services and respect the time of everyone involved, we kindly request that clients provide a minimum of 24 hours' notice when rescheduling or canceling appointments.
For your convenience, we offer the option to opt-in for email or text reminders, which will be sent 48 hours before your appointment. This will help ensure that you do not miss your session and that we can continue to provide our services effectively.
FREQUENT CANCELLATIONS OR MISSED APPOINTMENTS
It is important to attend all scheduled therapy appointments. Frequent cancellations and/or missed appointments will result in termination of treatment.
We may send text or email reminders about upcoming appointments as a courtesy, but only if you have provided us with your email address and cell number and have consented to receive such communications. It is your responsibility to keep track of all scheduled appointments, whether or not a reminder is received. If your phone number or email address changes, please inform the office as soon as possible.
If you miss two consecutive appointments or cancel three or more appointments within six months, you will not be able to schedule another appointment and will be referred to another provider.
WAIT TIME/GRACE PERIOD
Please keep in mind that both the therapist and the client have a 10-minute grace period. If you arrive more than 10 minutes late to your appointment, we will have to reschedule it and you will be responsible for the no-show fee, which is equal to the full-session rate.
engagement policy
As a client of Niche Counseling & Consulting, PLLC, it is important to engage in regular therapy sessions for the therapeutic process to be effective. If there is no interaction between you and our practice for 30 days, we will consider the therapeutic relationship concluded, and the appointment slot will be made available to new clients. Your account will be marked as "inactive," which may limit access to certain client portal features. However, you can still communicate with us via email. If you wish to reactivate your account, there may be a waitlist.
